Shamya Dasgupta

Shamya has been a sports journalist for over 20 years, working in newspapers, websites and television. He is currently employed with ESPNcricinfo. Apart from writing in many journals and magazines and other publications around the world over the years, he has also written three books: 'Bhiwani Junction - the Untold Story of Boxing in India', 'Cricket Changed My Life - Tales of Hope and Despair from the IPL and Elsewhere', and 'Don’t Disturb the Dead - the Story of the Ramsay Brothers', while also translating Mahasweta Devi’s Laayl-e Aasmaner Aayna from Bengali to English as 'Mirror of the Darkest Night'
